Character Introduction

Edward may look like the average sixteen year old with his straight dark hair and neat attire and you would be mostly right to think so, however there is one thing that sets him apart from the average high schooler. From a young age strange things always seem to occur wherever Edward goes, it started of with small occurrences such as objects near by falling or going missing but then as time passed it started getting worse. Edward grew up in New York, a bustling city, always surrounded by people, this eventually became a problem as these same people Edward cherished started getting into accidents and going missing. These events started getting noticed with the common factor being Edward every time. People started pushing him away calling him a bearer of bad luck and a devil child. Even with all this anger directed his way his parents still loved their son and wanted to protect him, they decided it was best to move away from New York city to a quieter place with less people in a hopes that things would be better.

At fourteen Edward moved to Newton in New Jersey, a quiet town just as they hoped. For a good time things were fine, took a while to get used to this different style of life but the family was happy. But from his upbringing Edward has become quite perceptive and he had a feeling things weren’t quite back to normal.

Two years after moving one fateful day Edward’s pass came back to haunt him. Being used to such a busy city Edward’s family would always be moving around and Edward loved to go with them, whether shopping for clothes, buying food or even sometimes visiting his parents at work he loved new places and became quite the explorer. Being in a new environment Edward couldn’t help but explore, every chance he could get he would spend his day cycling around town until he practically new the town inside out, or at least he thought he did.

One day he was riding round town like normal when he noticed something strange, out of seemingly nowhere was a house he had never seen before. The house familiar but old vegetation grew up the walls and you could see paint chipped away on the walls, this of course confused him as he had been round this route many times and this is his first time seeing it. As strange as it is he couldn’t help but feel intrigued, he set his bike on the path and walked up to get a better view. There wasn’t much to go on with all the windows being closed with the blinds down, however he noticed that the front door was slightly ajar, curiosity got the better of him as he he walked up to the door. He called out for any kind of response only to hear silence, he took it upon himself and began slowly encroaching through the door. Only to make things more strange on the other side of this door reflections of himself looked back at him, scattered throughout the hallway beyond a multitude of mirrors in all shapes and sizes. Everywhere he looked a mirror to the point it was hard to see a way forward. Feeling slightly mythed he goes to turn back but without out realising as if in a trance he had already moved several steps forward into the house and when turning around and reaching for the door handle he would instead grab nothing but air as for when he turned around instead of that door he just opened instead was nothing but his reflections once again. The door that once stood behind him was now replaced by another wall with a large rustic mirror. Gritting his teeth instead of cowering like many children his age would, Edward was different, he had already experienced enough in his life for this to be the thing to stop him. He grabbed a lantern he saw on the floor beside him and prepared to venture deeper maybe finding the answer to what has been happening to him all his life.
