

psychometric test to find out what role I suit in a team
Before forming groups, everyone took these tests based upon ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’ Orchestra. These tests determine what role in a team we would suit best. For me I picked the ‘Oboe Guy’ as closest to me, this is because they appear late into the performance as a solo performer and don’t appear afterword, these traits relate to me as I often complete my part of team work in one go and often don’t require much help from other team members.
The role I believe is the least like me is ‘The Conductor’, The Conductor controls the whole orchestra acting as a leader. I don’t believe I share the traits of a leader, mainly because I believe I work better independently. I also work better with a set task, so as a leader I may struggle to distribute a larger task into smaller ones. Most of my work consists of visual design for websites/apps, I would say that these areas of design are my strengths, however I also often dabble into other areas such as 3d design and animation. Although my knowledge in those areas and software involved with them are not extensive, by working with them over time I will be able to improve and eventually master them.
In my project I would say my role was close to my desired role (Oboe Guy), I worked on UI and the bulk of my work was towards the end of the project. In the future I would like to improve my skills as a leader, it would help improve my confidence and give me more skills usable in my future. In general it would be good to pursue other roles I am not used to as I would gain skills I currently do not possess.
