After the ‘Head and Body’ was done I then moved onto the ‘Hand and Mask’. In my previous drafts the mask I designed was more like a human face however I decided to change that for the final design as it didn’t seem as suitable for the theme. For the mask I reused the one I created in my draft as there wasn’t much to improve on however I did add straps that would explain how the person wore it. For the hand I added some more detail to make them more life-like as well as adding a few accessories such as rings and the cuff of his suit.

The last step of this part of the poster was to combine the two halves back together. I noticed that due to the way I coloured, the holes on the mask were not see-through, therefore I had to go back and use the exclude tool on Illustrator to make the holes see-through, which did create a small bug when re-separating the two parts for screenshots mentioned earlier.
Once together I also decided to increase the border size as I think it made the design look better.

The last step of the process was to add in text. In addition to the title “The Duality of Human Nature” I also added a small question associated with the secondary theme “What’s hiding behind the mask?”. I used the Impact font for the title as it was bold and stood out and Constantia for the smaller text as it felt appropriate for a question. In the end I decided not to add to much text as it would distract from the main design which conveys the main concept itself. Below is the final poster.

I also created a coloured version below.
