The main subject of the poster I am creating is “The Duality of Human Nature”. This explores the belief that all humans poses within them both good and evil. I portrayed this theme through the use of a secondary theme which can be summarised as “Hiding Behind a Mask”. This theme is about people hiding there emotions, which in this case is done through wearing a physical mask.
For my poster I decided to create a simple narrative about a random stranger carrying a mask. The implication of the design is that the man carrying the mask uses it to hide their true evil intent. I intend for the audience viewing my poster to realise this narrative and create their own stories from it.

To start the poster I used the draft I had previously created. I split the task into two areas that would be created by the end of the design. These areas are the ‘Head and Body’ and the ‘Hand and Mask’. I started by improving the ‘Head and Body’ first. To do so I decided to keep using vectors. I added more detail to several areas of the head, the most of which was the hair, eyes, nose and mouth. I decided to give more character to the person by dressing him up in a suit with earrings, this would develop his story further captivating the audience. I elected to use only the straight pen on Illustrator as I have more experience with it and I would be using it to make small details as such straight lines wouldn’t be as apparent on rounded seeming sections. To improve the previous draft I also incorporated shadows onto the design.
