This was difficult as I don’t have many objects that relate well to my concept such as masks or directed lights for shadows. Due to the lack of physical objects, I had to keep things simple. I chose to use my face as my subject is centred around human emotion. I also wore a mask as the other theme of my poster is deception and hidden truth.
I first took two pictures of my face with the mask on, the first picture I was smiling and the second I was frowning. Although I had a mask on the emotion I was displaying can be seen through my eyes and eyebrows. I did also take more pictures depicting different emotions however I couldn’t think of a way or reason to incorporate them.

I then used Photoshop and incorporated the two images into one. I decided to split the images half way as the emotions would still be visible that way. Once I had edited the images I then closed Photoshop and opened Illustrator. in Illustrator I added a line across the centre to show a clear divided between the two images.
Since I didn’t have much physically I decided to use illustrator to add more depth to the image. Similar to some of the concepts I created I decided to show the emotion on the mask itself. I created a mouth using vectors on each side, one showing a smile and the other being a frown. I kept it fairly simple as the purpose of the vectors is to mimic a mask rather than my smile/frown.
