The final conceptual idea I chose to do involves the postulation of the “Duality of Human Nature”. This idea entails that all humans have good and evil within them. I decided to explore this theme and implement it into my poster. As this idea is not a physical thing I used a secondary theme that would be a physical representation of it. This theme is “Hiding Behind a Mask”, this theme shows good and evil through what can and can’t be seen when wearing a mask.
As the subject involves humans, I decided to use a depiction of a human as the centre of the poster. In illustrator I created a simple design using vectors. The design involves a man holding a mask up to his face. The central concept is portrayed through the combination of the mans face and the mask he is holding. His face is meant to portray evil through his frown and the mask is meant to portray good through the smile rendered on it. The purpose of this scene is for the person viewing the poster to infer that the man uses the mask to hide his true feelings.

In the draft I created I kept the colours simple, only using the regular colours of the man and the mask. However in the final iteration i may implement shadows, similar to the ones i presented in “Drawing in Adobe Illustrator” second design, with colours denoting the two different sides of good and evil.
As the final solution is a poster I also plan to include a title and text. The title will be “Duality of Human Nature” however I have not decided on the text yet, although it will be related to the secondary theme. Below is the mock-up for the final design.
