Failed Asset
One design that I never finished was that of a skull. Initially I planned on making a skull as one of my assets, however, over the time I was working on it I was never able to get to a point in which I could call it complete and finished.
As a start I had two images as a reference that I would import onto Maya to create the general shape of the skull. I traced an outline of both images to get a rough border for my skull, in the future I would realise that these two axis were not enough to get a good scope of what the skull would look like 3D.

I then started creating a sculpt of the face going from one perspective to the other. I only did this on one half and then mirrored it onto the other. By the time I had the face laid out it looked like this.

I then attempted to extend the face back to encompass the head. However, I found myself unable to sculpt the bottom half of the skull using only the two images. In order to keep progressing I decided to remove the jaw and only make the top half of the skull.

This did give me a better grasp of the skull and allowed me to progress a bit further. I was able to get a very rough model of the back of the head as well as improve the face a bit. Once I had done this I then struggled to get the head the correct shape as well as fill in the bottom of the skull, as I had no reference. This time I decided to go back to the start with only half the face and go from there.

This, in my opinion, is the best shape I was able to create for the skull throughout the process. But, due to several factors, such as the lack of perspectives I had available, I was unable to make any changes without ‘ruining’ it with something that did not look right to me.
If I was to tackle this again I would make sure I have every perspective covered or more generally, make sure I have everything I need in order to make what I am making.
